Engineer Basem bin Yaqoub Al-Hamar, Minister of Housing, revealed that the Ministry of Housing has started building 1,382 apartments on Island No. 12 in "Salman City" at a total cost estimated at about 122,679,387 Bahraini dinars, indicating that the project is expected to be completed during the year 2023.

The Minister of Housing indicated that the residential apartments project in Salman City comes within the framework of the implementation of the city's master plan projects, which in turn contributes to the implementation of the housing objectives contained in the government's program to provide 25,000 housing units, noting that the project will contribute to meeting housing requests to serve Accelerated ownership apartments.

This came during an inspection visit by the Minister of Housing to the construction site of residential apartments in "Madinat Salman" (Island No. 12) with the participation of the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Sheikh Khalid bin Hamoud Al Khalifa, and the Assistant Undersecretary for Housing Policies and Services Dr. Khaled Al-Haidan, and the Assistant Undersecretary for Housing Projects Eng. Reda Al-Adraj, and a number of officials and developed companies, where he was briefed on the work plan for the implementation of residential buildings, which are implemented according to the latest construction models, and the minister was briefed on the infrastructure services and service facilities of the project.

Engineer Basem Al-Hamar indicated that the ministry, when planning to build apartments, relies on sustainable principles such as green energy, and a modern environment commensurate with the needs of the beneficiaries to achieve the highest quality levels for its residents. He expected that the implementation of the apartments will be completed as of the second quarter of 2023.

The Minister of Housing stressed that the residential apartments project in "Salman City" comes to meet the increasing demand for the service of ownership apartments in the Northern Governorate and all governorates of the Kingdom, with all the facilities and infrastructure services pursued by the Ministry within its new strategy in all modern cities, such as providing open spaces and paths of practice. Outdoor hobbies, children's parks, and other services.

The minister noted that residential apartment projects in Salman City are being implemented according to modern construction models for the sixth generation of residential buildings, and the ministry has sought to have most of the residential units in the city overlook green areas in the form of parks, gardens, pedestrian paths and bike paths on a waterfront with a distance of 40 km.

It is worth noting that Salman City is the most prominent strategic project that the Ministry of Housing is building in the northwest coast of the Kingdom of Bahrain on an area of ​​740 hectares, and is considered the largest in terms of area, number of housing units, facilities and services.
In January of this year, the ministry distributed the apartments of "Salman City", which is distinguished by its coastal location, as well as its interior design, which comes within the modern designs of the fifth generation of residential buildings implemented by the ministry in the new housing cities.
