The Ministry of Housing held a coordination meeting with the affairs of municipalities of the Ministry of Works, Municipalities and Urban Planning headed by Eng. Basem bin Yaqoub Al-Hamar, Minister of Housing at the Ministry's office, where the meeting dealt with a number of common issues that relate to the requirements of construction in modern housing projects.

During the meeting, it was agreed to resume the coordination committee concerned to consider the evaluation of the construction requirements in the housing areas issued in 2018, and the Ministry of Housing indicated that there is a continuous work to amend some items that meet the aspirations of the users of housing units related to the expansion and amendment of units.

The two parties also discussed a number of proposals regarding the establishment of commercial markets in the new cities of Bahrain, especially Khalifa City, in order to satisfy the needs of citizens therein, through a feasibility study that enhances the economic activity in the city.

In the context of environmental care, the meeting dealt with afforestation work and the necessary care and maintenance in Khalifa and Salman cities, in line with the directions of rational leadership that attaches great importance to the environment, as the environment is a basis for smart and sustainable cities, and the Kingdom through its afforestation processes seeks to create a decent healthy society. .

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Housing, Sheikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Works, Municipalities and Urban Planning for Municipal Affairs, and a number of engineers and officials from both sides.
