Her Excellency Mrs. Amna bint Ahmad Al-Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, stressed the importance of documenting and chronicling the progress of the engineering and archaeological sector. This march is a cultural legacy of the Kingdom of Bahrain throughout history and benefits future generations in continuing the Kingdom's overall development process.
This came when His Excellency the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, at her office in the Ministry, H.E. Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Head of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, and the writer Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Al Sulaiti, and historian engineer, were received to discuss the documentation and preservation of archaeological information.
During the meeting, Minister Al-Rumaihi praised the documentation efforts of the writer Dr. Abdullah Al-Sulaiti in monitoring the architecture and ancient history of Muharraq through his historical literature, noting the documentary information that was preserved by Engineer Tariq Whaley through historical monitoring of the engineering of Muharraq city and its ancient architecture and documenting these foundations in his literature.
For his part, His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, The President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities highlighted the literature, books and information that historians worked on during the previous period which contribute to the preservation of the historical and cultural identity of the City of Muharraq's buildings in general in order to preserve their historical and cultural identity, He noted the importance of adopting such literature and preserving that information as a source for future generations.
