In implementation of the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, to expand the government land development rights program and implement 8 additional projects in partnership with the private sector during the years 2023-2024, Her Excellency Mrs. Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Planning, announced Al-Omrani announced the launch of bids for the provision of 123 new housing units within the government land development rights program in partnership with the private sector, 76 units in the Al-Buhair region and 47 units in Horat Sanad.
Minister Amna Al-Rumaihi said that the proposal to implement housing units comes in support of the positive results achieved by the program since its launch, as its experimental phase represented by the “Suhail” housing project witnessed a remarkable turnout by citizens. Last November, the Ministry concluded contracts for the implementation of 131 housing units in the city. Salman, in partnership with Delmon Gate Company, to add the Al-Buhair and Hoora Sanad projects to the gains achieved by this program during the year 2023.
She added that the bidding to provide 123 residential units in Al-Buhair and Howrah includes the implementation of residential units with building areas of up to 220 square metres, according to advanced building models that suit the needs of the Bahraini family. The bids also include the implementation of infrastructure works in the aforementioned sites.
The Minister stated that the acceleration in the pace of implementation of the projects included in the government land development rights program coincides with the great demand by citizens for the housing financing program of various types, as the program’s projects provide greater flexibility and diversity for citizens with the possibility of benefiting from them by purchasing them through financing amounts. Which citizens benefit from through “Facilitation” financing and “New Category Benefits”, especially with the diversity in project implementation sites in the Kingdom’s governorates.
The Minister confirmed that the next phase will witness more projects that will be put forward for implementation within the government land development rights program, in a way that enhances the gains of this program and provides a base of diverse units for beneficiaries of financing services.
