His Excellency Engineer Ibrahim bin Hassan Al-Hawaj, Minister of Works, praised the kindness of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Deputy of His Majesty the Crown Prince, may God protect him, for visiting Muharraq Governorate, launching the plan to develop the city of Muharraq and activating the plan to preserve the historical and cultural identity of Bahrain’s buildings and cities, in implementation of the order. Al-Hawaj stated that the directives of His Majesty the Deputy King, the Crown Prince, may God protect him, are considered a road map for work and achievement during the next stage, indicating that the Ministry of Works will work to redouble its efforts to implement these directives in a way that supports the goals of the comprehensive development process and contributes to the advancement of the nation and achieving the aspirations of citizens.
Al-Hawaj stressed the Ministry of Public Works’ keenness to implement the plan drawn up to develop the city of Muharraq in coordination with the concerned authorities, through its support for infrastructure services and public facilities, which is one of the basic axes of the plan, as the Ministry formed a work team to implement infrastructure projects and service projects such as developing roads and creating parking lots. For cars, in order to provide infrastructure with high standards and quality that contributes to achieving sustainable growth of infrastructure according to the highest standards and specifications and to serve the aspirations of citizens.
