The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and Delmon Gateway Real Estate Company concluded contracts for the implementation of 131 new housing units in Salman City, within the framework of the Ministry’s plan to implement projects included within the government land development rights program in partnership with the private sector. The agreement was signed by Her Excellency Mrs. Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi. Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, and Mr. Abdullah Ali, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Delmon Gate Company, in the presence of His Excellency Engineer Asim Abdul Latif Abdullah, Undersecretary of the Ministry, and a number of officials in the Ministry.
 
Her Excellency Mrs. Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi stated that the step of concluding contracts for the implementation agreement for the Salman City project comes after the completion of the procedures for awarding the bidding for the project, noting that according to this agreement, the real estate development company will build 131 residential units in Salman City with a total area estimated at 23 thousand. square metres, with areas for residential units starting at 220 square metres, provided that after completing the construction of the units, the developer will market them to citizens benefiting from the housing finance programme, provided that unit prices do not exceed 98 thousand dinars, noting that the project site has all infrastructure services available, Which contributes to speed of completion.
 
The Minister said that the implementation of the Salman City project represents the beginning of the master plan to implement more projects included within the program, after the success of the pilot phase of the program, which included the implementation of a project of 132 housing units in the “Suhail Housing” project, a project that met with success and great demand by citizens. After booking 93% of the project’s units during the period of the Housing Finance Exhibition in its second edition.
  
The Minister added that this project will be followed by the launch of a number of other projects included within the government land development rights program in residential cities and a number of regions in the governorates of the Kingdom, as the Ministry is finalizing the procedures for implementing another project in Khalifa City, as well as preparing to launch other projects included in A plan to implement the directive of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, to expand the program and implement 8 additional projects in partnership with the private sector during the years 2023-2024.
 
Minister Al-Rumaihi confirmed that the development of the Salman City project, in addition to other projects scheduled within the program, is being carried out in accordance with standards and requirements that guarantee the provision of quality residential units in terms of construction specifications, and the use of modern building design models.
 
For his part, Mr. Abdullah Ali, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Delmon Gate Company, appreciated the conclusion of an agreement to implement 131 housing units in Salman City, which is the project that represents the first of the company’s cooperation with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning to develop government land development rights program projects, praising the objectives of this program, which reflects the advanced level. For a partnership between the Ministry and the private sector to provide housing units for citizens.
 
The Chairman of the Board of Directors said that the company will be keen to implement the Salman City project according to the best quality standards, making it the second successful experience achieved in the program after the success of the “Suhail Housing” project, stressing that such housing programs and initiatives contribute to the speedy provision of adequate housing for citizens.
