Her Excellency Mrs. Amna bint Ahmed Al-Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, stated that the construction work for the implementation of 132 housing units in the Al-Lawzi project, which is being implemented within the government land development rights program in partnership with the private sector, has been completed, while the infrastructure work in the project has reached its final stages.
And the Minister of Housing stated that the ministry will start during the first quarter of this year the work of offering housing units exclusively to citizens benefiting from the new housing financing services, as the units will be offered at prices that suit the value of the funds granted to them.
This came during the inspection visit by the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning to the Al-Lawzi project, which is the pilot model that was put forward within the government land rights development program, and is included in the ministry's plans to implement housing projects and market them to citizens benefiting from housing finance. The housing units, in the presence of a number of officials from the Ministry, the Housing Bank and the real estate development company executing the project.
Minister Amna Al-Rumaihi indicated during the visit that the Al-Lawzi project is distinguished by a developed design model for the residential units, which provides 4 bedrooms, 3 toilets, a kitchen and two parking spaces, indicating that the general plan of the project and the engineering design of the units comply with the technical standards approved by the Ministry, which will be applied to All projects included within the government land development rights program.
The Minister of Housing and Urban Planning has appreciated the efforts of the real estate development company in implementing the project in accordance with the specifications and requirements, and accelerating the pace of work in the implementation of units and infrastructure, stressing that the experimental model for this project is currently being evaluated and studied by specialists in the Ministry to continuously search for opportunities for development and improvement, and to implement that. On upcoming projects within the government land development rights program.
Minister Amna Al-Rumaihi affirmed that the Ministry's efforts will continue through the implementation of these ambitious housing programs, which are implemented in partnership with the private sector, in order to provide decent, appropriate and distinguished housing services for citizens.
It is worth noting that the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has recently put forward the first major package of government land development rights program projects in partnership with the private sector for bidding through the Tenders and Auctions Board, which includes the provision of 131 units and 360 apartments in the city of Salman, in addition to 280 housing units in the city of Khalifa, the projects have also been included in the investment platform in government lands, and it is hoped that the implementation of these projects will start during the third quarter of this year, after completing all contractual procedures.
