The Ministry of Housing said that the East Sitra City project is witnessing an accelerated start since the announcement of the start of construction and infrastructure works last December, which the ministry is implementing in partnership with one of the major Chinese contracting companies, as part of its efforts to implement the royal order of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the beloved monarch of the country, may God preserve and sponsor him, built 40 thousand housing units, and to fulfill the order of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister to implement more than three thousand housing units in the fifth new housing cities in three stages, at a total cost of 260 One million dinars, explaining that the cost of the first phase is about 91 million dinars, the cost of the second phase exceeds 124 million dinars, and the third and final phase is about 45 million dinars.

"Housing" explained that since the start of the construction works in the first phase last December, the Ministry has made progress in terms of preparing the first phase of the project, which is the phase that includes the implementation of more than 1000 housing units. The land is in preparation for starting the implementation of the infrastructure works and the construction of housing units. The second phase comes immediately after it, which includes more than 1,800 units and housing plots, and the third phase includes more than 500 housing units.

The ministry indicated that the East Sitra City project is distinguished by its geographical location and its sea view, in addition to the facilities and services it enjoys serving about 20,640 people, which are the provision of comprehensive schools, kindergartens and nurseries, public parks and children's playgrounds within residential neighborhoods, and places of worship, in addition to health facilities. , Social and cultural centers, a center for childcare, a youth club, and commercial centers, in addition to stations to provide vehicles with fuel, a water treatment plant, and a visitor service center.
