The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning (MOHUP) signed eight Memoranda of Understanding with social, academic and training institutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain, on the sidelines of the second edition of the Social Housing Innovation Conference and Exhibition.
The Memoranda of Understanding were signed on behalf of MOHUP by Ms. Fatima Ibrahim Al Mannai, Undersecretary at the Ministry, with AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation, the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF), Gulf University, Ahlia University, Applied Science University, Royal University for Women, American University of Bahrain, and British University of Bahrain.
Al Mannai affirmed that the signing of the Memoranda of Understanding reflects MOHUP’s commitment to expanding its partnerships with academic, educational and training institutions and benefiting from their expertise and capabilities in developing national talent, enhancing skills and expanding professional learning opportunities.
She explained that the Memoranda of Understanding establish frameworks for cooperation in training and the exchange of knowledge and expertise, enabling the development of programmes and initiatives that respond to MOHUP’s operational needs. She also highlighted the importance of integrating institutional expertise with academic knowledge to enhance performance efficiency and keep pace with developments in the housing and urban planning sector.
The signing of the Memoranda of Understanding also reflects MOHUP’s continued commitment to exploring opportunities for cooperation that contribute to the development of the housing and urban planning sector by engaging educational and training institutions in capacity building and supporting professional development pathways related to the sector.
